Dragon quest ix how many hours

However, if you're like me and you want to stay on top of every item as you can, it can be upwards of hours easy. There's a lot to do that can distract you from the main storyline. I pertty much stopped collecting things, making alchemy items, stealing gobs of items from every enemy, leveled every character's class beyond 50, and just went and finished the game. Since then I have about hours in my belt, and I'm nowhere near finished.

I just stopped playing to get to other games. As for Fefnir's comment on post game It just goes on and on and on and on and on So this game pays off in overall length.

Though some people I know just replay the main story each time, trying things out differently. Like for one, he decided to grotto early, and get as many grottoes and as high a level as possible in the main game. Managed to get up to the best overall set of gear for melee types Metal King before rebeating the game, playing the story quests over again for the post game, then started over again. The story took me 30 hours, and that was with levelling up, and making money for equipment etc.

I left all the quests until post game, and I'm on hours now, and I've barely scratched the surface of the game. I'm nowhere near finished with the alchemy, and grottos etc. If you're looking for a game that's worth it's value, this is it. I love it. Oh awesome! That's reassuring news, thanks guys. At this point, though, i'm at over Quests, grottoes, legacy bosses, alchemy pot stuff especially alchemiracles Not completely sure why but I just kinda miss it and my interest in grotto grinding etc. Curious how long playthrough 2 will take me :P "Two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity; and I'm not sure about the universe" - Albert Einstein. If you don't do the collection, or not able to obtain those maps, or no interest in rare grottoes, then you can end up the game after you complete all DLC story quests. That just takes you less than hrs for total game. User Info: TowerBooks Alchemy just to make money took me 40 hours. That is fun and only a part of it. How much more the other parts that are cool like the tons of stories and side quests and quests for other jobs like ranger and stuff and lots more.

But it just depends on how you play it though, you could rush it or take it slow and sweet. More topics from this board This game is always fun What is the best way to level up? User Info: Asbeau Asbeau 11 years ago 7 I played for 85 hours before I beat the final boss, but I think you could easily do it in User Info: vozome vozome 11 years ago 8 i found the main game to be a prologue to the post-game unlike say, most Zeldas where, upon beating the game, you are only given the opportunity to roam in a world where there isn't anything to do left, in DQ9 much of the game play happens after the credits roll.
